70+ Years of Comfort and Care

Our Westwood dentist office has been helping generations of families smile their brightest for over 70 years. During this time we’ve seen dentistry change dramatically. The focus has shifted from aggressive restoration to early detection, education, and prevention. Dr. Guillen is the perfect practitioner to bring this new type of warm, friendly, and inviting dentistry to you and your family. He has created an extremely interactive practice, focusing on patients themselves, not just their teeth.

Our family oriented dental practice uses tools like detailed models of the mouth as well as informative videos on how to maintain great dental hygiene (which can be watched on our office iPads) to bring you—and your children—up to speed on your own oral care. By educating our patients about smart food options and encouraging choices that can improve oral health, we equip you for success and empower you to take control of your dental wellness.

Oral Health Begins in Childhood

Spotting issues before they become problems can prevent painful and costly treatments down the road. The American Dental Association recommends that children have their first dental checkup at six months. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that the initial orthodontic evaluation be administers either at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age 7.

While dental procedures and orthodontic treatment may not be necessary at these ages, a thorough examination can plot future growth and pinpoint the best time to begin treatment.

It’s our job to give you the information and tools you need to help your child keep their mouth healthy (and free from pain or embarrassing defects) well into their adult years. When you actively engage in education, role modeling—and enforcing—good behaviors like brushing often, and scheduling regular checkups you’re providing a life-long lesson that will help keep your kids smiling brightly.

And we won’t let fear of the dentist interfere with your hard work. We’ll do our part to make the office visit as friendly, inviting, and exciting as possible.

A Dentist Who Cares About You (Not Just Your Teeth)

Dr. Guillen’s goal is simple: to make your visit to the dentist the best part of your day.

That’s a tall order but it’s that level of commitment and patient service that makes our Westwood dentist office unique. We truly care about our patients and want to build real relationships that last for generations to come.

The entire Westwood Village Smiles team works to make dental care fun, offering rewards, incentives, and contests combined with community sponsorships and educational outreach.
